Exceeded every expectation! What an amazing hotel and experience, couldn’t fault it in any way. We were in the ‘Stewart’ room for 2 nights over the New Year. The staff were so attentive and kind, and made us feel so welcome and at home. The decor is tasteful and luxurious and fits beautifully in the traditional setting of the building. The food was delicious and the entire experience felt personal and well-planned. We booked this hotel initially as a one-off however we were so impressed with the experience that we have now booked in to return next year with our families. Every member of staff is a credit to this hotel and we cannot wait to return. Thank you all!

We had a wonderful stay at the Fortingall over Hogmanay. The staff were brilliant - warm and welcoming and went out of their way to make sure we had a perfect stay. The rooms are smart and the beds extremely comfortable. The food was delicious. We spent a day exploring the glen on the electric bikes the hotel provided and climbed a snowy mountain. We can’t wait to come back!

A truly wonderful Hogmanay getaway in the Highlands. I’ve stayed in over 200 hotels this year, and this by far surpasses every other property. From the moment we arrived, the welcome was exceptional. The attention to detail, the sense of understated luxury, and the atmosphere created by familiar yet impeccably polite, attentive, and friendly staff made this place truly shine. Our room was beautiful — immaculately clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully appointed. The communal areas were inviting and cosy, with comfortable seating and a fire that was always lit, adding to the warm and relaxing ambience. Breakfast was superb. The dinner menu was well considered, delicious, and very reasonably priced. We also enjoyed afternoon tea, which was equally fabulous. As we checked out today, we genuinely tried to think of a single negative — and the only thing we could come up with was running out of apple juice at breakfast! Thank you, Fortingall. We’ll see you again next year.

We didn't stay in the hotel but we were lucky enough to have dinner here. I had contacted the team ahead of visiting to ensure there would be a vegan dish available, and the chef went to such amazing efforts to cater for us. There was already something on the menu to have as standard however the chef had made a delicious special. Everything we ate was absolutely brilliant and the staff were so attentive and friendly, we even had vegan pudding! We are hoping to visit again and will definitely eat here again, everything was excellent. Highly recommend a visit to the wee pub too, the locals and the music was an added bonus! Thanks again.

Our stay at the Fortingall Hotel was one of the best travel experiences we’ve ever had. From the moment we arrived until the moment we left, everything felt warm, personal, and incredibly special. The staff were attentive in the most thoughtful way—every interaction felt genuine and welcoming. The hotel itself is intimate, almost like a luxurious home away from home, with beautiful details everywhere: plush linens, cozy furniture, and high-quality bath products that made the entire stay feel indulgent. We enjoyed both dinner and breakfast, and both were phenomenal. The dinner menu changes, but everything we had was exceptional, and the bar is a true highlight with a full selection and two separate spaces to enjoy a drink. There’s even a cozy sitting room with games, which added to the charm. Our room was perfection. The bed was so comfortable it felt like sinking into oblivion, and the clawfoot tub was stunning (I wish we had stayed long enough to use it!). The grounds are peaceful and serene, and the ancient yew tree just steps away is an unforgettable sight. This hotel truly exceeded all expectations. It was not just a stay, but an experience—and one I’ll never forget.

Fabulous place to unwind and recharge. The food was excellent all across and so was the overall property and staff. The Ramsay room was really special with the standalone tub. Thanks for a wonderful stay. We will be back.

The Fortingall Hotel recently refurbished to a high standard whilst keeping the charm and luxurious feel of a grand stately home in Highland Perthshire. The staff are welcoming and friendly, engaging with each visitor to make it a personal experience; nothing is too much and every ask accommodated. We chose to attend for Christmas lunch and had a wonderful time. The food is exquisite, high quality ingredients, cooked to perfection. The open fires in the dining room and drawing room make for a cosy atmosphere in this boutique hotel. Thank you for welcoming us on Christmas Day. Although sorry to leave, we hope to be back soon.

The team took excellent care to make us feel at home during Christmas. The enchanting landscape and cozy amenities make this a wonderful spot for a retreat. And, sharing pints with the locals at the pub made it all the more lovely— a truly authentic experience. It was difficult to leave!
